The other day, a friend in the U.S. told me about a new television show called "Dexter," about a psychopathic medical examiner who hunts down and executes serial killers. I was intrigued, so this evening I did a google search on it to see if I could find out some more information about it. I found the show's site easily, but when I clicked on the link, it said:Sorry.
Apparently, there's an American television show about a murderous psychopath that's so super-top-secret that they're blocking any attempts from outsiders to find out any information about it.
We at Showtime Online express our apologies; however, these pages are intended for access only from within the United States.
Aha.
You know, I don't even think I want to know why that might be. Just backing away slowly, then...

Check your email . . . Maybe that will work.
The same restrictions used to apply to the Queer as Folk pages on the Showtime website. Darned frustrating when you wanted to try to see three episodes into the future from where Showcase was at!
IP,
Don't feel bad . . . I was surfing today and tried to get a video feed from Global National TV . . . Was not available outside of Canada.
'Wass Up with this stuff, anyway?? I thought the internet was "just a system of tubes"!! (According to that genius Senator Ted Stevens of Alaska.)
west end bound,
Okay, that's just weird. I wonder what the point of it is?
Lots of Showtime's pages are like that. I don't know why, probably some corporate reason dealing with piracy or profits or something.
Sorry to go off topic, but what's wrong with your blog? The right-hand column is totally oversized, which has resulted in your posts further down the page to be inflated to font size 50 or something. Get your coding right.
Werner,
I don't see what you're seeing, so it's hard to fix. Anybody else see what he's seeing? Anybody want to give me some tips? (Perhaps a little less rudely?)
IP,
I have no problem viewing your blog - all looks fine.
My browser-of-choice is Firefox by Mozilla.
My partner "drf" is still using Internet Explorer, however, and the right hand side panel is HUGE in it. Sorry, am not an expert in HTML (obviously :) ) and can't tell you why . . . .
IP,
PS: I hope that was a little less rude . . . .
(Couldn't resist, as I thought that was a great response by you!!)
west end bound,
Ahhhh, it's an Internet Explorer thing. Well, I suspect most of us are far too sensible to use outdated browsers like that these days (*grin*), but I'd be happy to fix it if someone can give me a suggestion as to how!
